Job description:
Enhanced DBS, Computer literate, experience dealing with older people (desirable)

Job Role :

Ensuring quality and compliance

Organising and overseeing the delivery of person-centred care support which is appropriate, flexible and responsive and which promotes autonomy, dignity and independence - this will include the development of individual care plans;

Ensuring compliance with group policy and procedure within the scheme;

Ensure compliance with any local quality frameworks as applicable;

Ensuring compliance with relevant health and social care legislation (including ensuring readiness for and cooperation with regulatory inspections);

Ensuring compliance with statutory health and safety obligations;

Ensuring tenants are safeguarded in respect of relevant risks;

Ensuring comprehensive records are kept in respect of all services and associated activity in line with group procedures

Handling complaints;

Develop and work to quality improvement action plans as agreed;

Delivering care support directly if required to do so by e.g. staff shortage.

Managing staff

Liaising with the local designated recruitment resource to recruit suitable staff for the scheme in line with group procedures;

Building and maintaining a positive and supportive working environment for all staff;

Organising and maintaining staff rotas;

Undertaking 'on-call' duties as agreed;

Line managing care and supervisory staff in the scheme (including supervising, appraising and supporting those staff);

Managing routine HR processes for staff at the scheme, e.g. leave and absence, disciplinary, grievance.

Inclusion and community engagement

Promoting inclusion of tenants in the management of the scheme;

Encouraging and supporting the development of a tenants' association;

Holding regular scheme meetings and encouraging a range of methods of feedback;

Working with statutory and voluntary sector organisations and the local community to build links between the scheme and the wider community and to arrange and promote a programme of events and activities to benefit tenants and the community at large;

Developing the scheme as a 'community hub' for local people, and in particular older people;

Developing healthy relationships with neighbours and the wider community;

Providing information or signposting tenants and others to appropriate information about services, support etc.

Management reporting

Providing accurate and up to date management data and information in a timely fashion in line with CCH group procedures;

Reporting serious incidents etc. to senior management in line with group policy.

Partnership working

Working in partnership with the housing provider to ensure the best outcomes for tenants;

Liaising with health and social care professionals and commissioners as appropriate.

Nurturing and maintaining contractual relationships with commissioners as appropriate.

This position is subject to an enhanced level DBS/AccessNI Disclosure (as applicable).

All managers are required to register as Dignity Champions
Salary: 10 per hour
